The girls gone wild – leopard print is back for A/W14

My addiction to leopard print is one that translates from season to season – I love it. If you open up my wardrobe, you will find row upon row of staple leopard pieces from years gone by and, as we step into A/W 14, I couldn’t be happier that leopard print is back with a vengeance.

High-end designers such as Chloe, Givenchy and Celine have, once again, been quick to integrate and embrace this high fashion print into their stand out collections. Of course, always ensuring that it remains classy, sophisticated and always stylish.

From mid length trench coats to supersize clutches, leopard print has proven once again why it has made it back onto some of the world’s most influential runways. Dresses were clinched at the waist with flattering leopard print belts and statement gloves where given a subtle yet high impact splash of this flirtatious print.

The high street is wild for it too. Step into any high street store and there’ll be at least one section dedicated to this timeless and attention grabbing trend. You’ll find everything from shoes and coats to dresses and tops boasting this feline pattern.

Like many of today’s trends, there are a number of rules that you must follow in a bid to stop yourself looking like you have literally stepped out of the jungle.

When wearing any print, particularly leopard print, that old faithful rule of ‘less is more’ should definitely be applied. At all times. If you’re going to wear it, wear it well. This means not overloading on the print. Make sure that you pick one key piece and pair it will colours and accessories that complement and enhance the print.

When I wear leopard print, I just can’t resist pairing it will bold red and pastel pink, it also looks amazing with black!
