How to get Healthy Hair for the New Year

As the New Year is only a few weeks away now, there has never been a better time to throw out the old and bring in the new. It’s time to get your hair in tip-top shape for the seasons ahead. The winter months always wreak havoc on our beauty routines and this does include your hair routine, as the colder season can damage your hair. So now in the New Year you don’t need to hide your hair under a big hat for fear of lackluster hair strands, it’s time for you to toss your healthy tresses with confidence and to revitalize your hair. Here’s a few tips on how to achieve healthy new hair for the New Year.
Try throwing away all your old hair care products (or not replacing them when they’re finished if you don’t want to be wasteful), as it is a little known facts that using the same hair products for extended periods of time can end up being bad for your hair. This is because the products can cause buildup in your hair strands, and the more you use the products the more build up you get, leading to greasy or oily hair. To solve this problem, do a little spring clean and try out a few new products that are specifically designed to help you remove the buildup you already have. At the end of the day you will notice the difference and your hair will thank you for it.
If you do have dry or oily damaged hair, sometimes all it needs is extra nutrients and moisture, so try to do a deep conditioning. With this, the steam from the shower combines with the conditioner and works right down to the hair roots. It works like a treat and you will emerge looking like new.
If you are into heat styling and have fragile hair then the direct heat from hair dryers, straighteners or curling irons can be damaging. So use this in moderation and if you can, let your dry your hair naturally – if you need to style your hair then use heat protective products.
